Northern Tier Stars
HOW TO REGISTER
Whether your player is just starting out or continuing her journey in girls hockey, registration for the Northern Tier Stars is simple. Follow the steps below to get started:
1. Determine Your Player’s Age Classification
- 8U (8 & Under Girls) Born on or after June 1, 2016. An all-girls alternative to mites.
- 10U (10 & Under Girls) Born between June 1, 2014, and May 31, 2016. An alternative to squirts.
- 12U (12 & Under Girls) Born between June 1, 2012, and May 31, 2014. An alternative to peewees. Eligible for MN Hockey Region and State Tournaments at the 12U A and B levels.
- 15U (15 & Under Girls) Born between June 1, 2009, and May 31, 2012. An alternative to bantams. Eligible for Region and State Tournaments at the 15U A and B levels.
2. Identify Your Home Association
Northern Tier Stars is a cooperative program serving the following associations:
- St Francis Youth Hockey Association
- Cambridge-Isanti Youth Hockey Association
- North Branch Area Hockey Association
3. Register on your Home Association Website
- Look for tabs or headings labeled “Registration,” “Programs,” or “Northern Tier Stars” to find the appropriate forms and instructions.
- Create or log into your family account.
- Complete the registration process for the correct age classification.
- Each association website will provide information on fees.
